Meet Thomas Rapp, the new Chief Financial Officer at EWES

At 56 years old, with a life full of both professional and personal adventures, Thomas is now taking the helm of the company’s financial strategy. His mission? To ensure that EWES continues to grow and remain financially strong in the long term.

What is your role at EWES?
I work as the CFO, Chief Financial Officer. I am responsible for EWES' financial strategy and ensuring that our financial health remains strong in the long term.

Why did you apply for the position?
I found it to be an exciting role. It's a local company with an international presence.

What did you do before joining EWES?
I was a co-owner of a company in the manufacturing industry. I’ve also provided CFO services to other companies.

How has your onboarding been?I’ve been incredibly well welcomed! The EWES spirit makes you feel at home right away.

How old are you, and where do you live?
I’m 56 years old and I live in Skillingaryd.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
It’s not just numbers and budgets that take up my time. When I’m not working, I’m a passionate part-time farmer, with a small farm and forest to manage. Family – including my children and grandchildren – plays an important role in my life.

What do you find hard to resist?
I’m a bit of a chocolate junkie, so anything with chocolate is hard for me to resist.

If you didn’t have to work for money, what would you do?
I’d focus on developing the farm and forest on my property.

When was the last time you laughed out loud?
I laugh often, especially at myself.
